Animals

No pets or other animals are allowed at the convention except “service” animals.

Badge Swapping

Sharing badges is not permitted at DayCon. Everyone participating in convention events must have their own badge. Please bear in mind that sharing of badges reduces our ability to provide entertainment in the future. Any badges used by anyone other than the person named on the badge will be confiscated and the bearer removed from the convention.

Covid-19 Disclaimer and Release

Every participant of DayCon could potentially be exposed to Covid 19 and its variants. DayCon Gaming  and Conference partners bear no liability for contracting this or any other infectious illness. By registering for this event, participants release and waive the right to bring suit against DayCon Gaming, Shelter Community Church, Open Table Ministries, their employees, agents, representatives and assigns in connection with exposure, infection, and/or spread of COVID-19 related illnesses or any other illness.

Event Cancellation

Scheduled games are subject to change and/or cancellation without notice. Every effort will be made to announce any changes via the Internet, pre-convention publications, our onsite book and posting in registration. Cancellation of scheduled games are unfortunate but can occur. 

General Behavior

DayCon is dedicated to providing a safe and harassment-free convention experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of attendees, staff, or meeting hall personnel in any form. Attendees violating these rules may be asked to leave  the convention without a refund at the discretion of the convention organizers. Please remember that you are in a public venue, and you should treat others and their belongings with respect. DayCon reserves the right to remove anyone from the premises, without reimbursement of fees, whose activities endanger the health or well-being of others.

Minor Children

Although we love to have your children come and enjoy the games we have to offer at Daycon, all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  The responsible adult must be on-site at all times.  

Outside Food and Drink

We will have a wide selection of food and drinks for purchase at very reasonable prices.  No outside food or drinks are permitted in the event hall.  

Photography / Videography

Attendance at DayCon or its events implies consent for use of one’s image in photos and videos. DayCon will be taking photographs and video for release on the DayCon website and in promotional materials. If you have an important reason for not having your picture displayed, please contact DayCon organizers. In which case we will do our best to work with you to avoid using your image however, given the volume of pictures, DayCon cannot guarantee your image will not appear in these materials.
When taking photographs at the convention, DO NOT take photographs of specific individuals without first getting their consent, including attendees in costume. Attendees have a right to refuse your request, though most will be happy oblige.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in the venue. If you need to smoke, the venue staff can direct you to the appropriate area outside.

Soliciting

Soliciting of convention attendees without the express permission of DayCon staff is prohibited. DayCon provides several opportunities to reach our attendees. The primary means for interacting with attendees is through purchase of a table in the Flea Market. 

Weapons

Live weapons are prohibited at the convention. The bottom line is to have fun, be respectful, and when in doubt ask the convention organizers.
